A Woman In Love With Her Life Is Absolutely Irresistible

A Woman In Love With Her Life Is Absolutely Irresistible

March 14, 2010 by admin

Many changes are incubating in my life right now. My annual 5-day retreat with the Friends of Calligraphy gave me some much-needed time to think, process, evaluate, write and create. I came home with the skeleton of a plan for a new line of inspirational artwork.

Here’s my first effort, dashed off in the last hour of the last day of the retreat (doesn’t it so often seem to work that way?)

I’m excited about re-finding my voice and seeing where this ongoing discovery-process leads me. Now the challenge is to keep the momentum going. Business is keeping me so busy right now (thank you, Universe – income is such a great thing!) that my commitments to feeding my own creativity are especially hard to keep.

What do you do to make sure you feed yourself and keep your commitments to your goals for YOU, even when life gets crazy busy?

In the woods of Maine five hours north of Boston and without electricity previously but cozy and centered, in my contentment I thought of a card on my refrigerator which resonated when I saw it by chance when helping a friend, Lauren Pearlman, who owns The Paper Connection in Providence, Rhode Island. I was at her booth at a conference of calligraphers to both see her and give her time to step away, I am a Japanese calligrapher not Western. Yes, the card was yours, and now in Maine, I thought that I would not be able to find you until returning home. But of course I asked Ms. Google, putting in the words I remembered ,and here you are! I truly hope that you are finding time for your own work, I do understand the huge challenges since one must put sushi on the table as it were. Your post goes back to 2010 so hope you receive this. Wishing you being in love with your life most of the the time. That is the most we can hope for, and creative injections such as the one to which you refer are very needed always. Warmly, Rona

Wow, Rona, thank you for such a lovely comment! Yes, I’m living a very creative life. I hope you’ll visit my main blog, Living A Creative Life, where you can catch up on my exploits. 😉

I’m guessing it was this design on the card you’re referring to? (You can see more at my Zazzle shop, btw. :))
